HIGH SPEED BROADBAND COMES TO FROXFIELD

AT the Parish Council Meeting on Wednesday March 8th, Guest speaker Mr Richard Leeding of BT briefed locals about the upgrade of the village to high speed broadband. This work will begin shortly and run until June. Every household in the main village area of Froxfield will have fibre optic cable to their premises. However, to access the new speeds, individual householders will need to sign up to a new contract with their own broadband provider. Information about progress by individual postcodes can be found on either the BT Openreach website or http://www.wiltshireonline.org.

READ A REPORT ON THE MEETING WITH ALL POSTCODES COVERED IN THE PROGRAMME IN THE PARISH COUNCIL SECTION OF THIS WEBSITE.

Froxfield Parish Council has been awarded a Community Benefit Grant from Lightsource Renewables, the company that owns and manages the Rudge Manor Solar Farm and this one-off payment of £15,000 has now been paid and we will shortly begin the process of setting up a local committee to manage grants to local projects.[b]
